Nursery and Preschool Leaders (Children's Ministry) - on Sunday mornings at each worship service and during the Sunday School hour we welcome loving volunteers to care for and teach the youngest members of our church family.  You can serve an hour each month or each week.  We have lots of opportunities and really need each family to contribute.  Please email Cari LaCroix our Nursery and Preschool Director or give her a call at 972-322-6542.

 

Shepherds for Clubhouse (Children's Ministry) - Every Sunday morning from 10-11am, we have eager boys and girls coming to our Clubhouse giving us an opportunity to come alongside their family to love them and teach them to know the Lord Jesus.  We need adults who will build relationships with a small group of these kids.  Commitment is for 1 hour each Sunday throughout the School year.  Email Tom Curran or call him at 972-723-0002 x14.

 

Listeners for AWANA (Children's Ministry) -  Wednesday's nights during the school year, we have an incredible ministry called AWANA (Approved Workman are Not Ashamed).  It is a fun evening with game time, council/Bible Story time and Handbook time.  During Handbook time, we need adults willing to listen to kids recite Scriptures they have memorized.  Commitment is for ~2 hours on Wednesday nights during the school year.  Email Tom Curran or call him at 972-723-0002 x14.

 

Greeters/Hospitality/Ushers (Adult Ministries) - Our church family desires to be a home where our guests and visitors feel welcomed the very first time they set foot in our home.  We need additional Greeters at the doors, in our Hospitality Room and in the Gym/Auditorium to make sure our guests are welcomed and know where to go.  Commitment is approximately every Sunday every other Month for 30 minutes.  Email David Farr or call him at 972-923-7722.

 

Chair Set Up Crews (Adult Ministries) - We are a family of moving chairs.  Every weekend a faithful team of humble servants set up chairs so we can worship our Amazing Lord in comfort.  We then take them down for the other ministries during the week.  We are always looking for additional people who can help with the vital ministry.   It takes no incredible gift/skill or spiritual maturity, just a humble, willing servant's heart.  It is a great way to meet other servant's in our family and pray for the weekend services and each other. Commitment is about six times a year on a Friday night or Saturday morning for about 1.5 hours.  Email  Bob Stanbery or call him at 972-723-0002 x12.

 

Servant Workers - Perspectives on the World Christian Movement  (Missions) - This 15 week class will literally turn your world upside down.  Your perspective on what the Lord is doing in the world and your role while here on earth will never be the same.  We invite you to look into the class for yourself - www.perspectives.org, but we are also looking for Servant workers who can help plan, promote and host this class to be held at our church on Tuesday's beginning January 13, 2009.  Email Kris Mewherter or call her at 972-723-2360.

 

Office Volunteers (Administration) - We are looking for a volunteer who will help us copy and collate materials, straightening up the building and other simple office tasks.  Commitment would be 2-4 hours per week, preferably on Thursday or Friday during the day.  Email Misty Ansted or call her at 972-723-0002 x 10.

 

Handy person (Maintenance)- We are looking for a handy man who can do simple preventative maintenance and repairs and clean up projects around our church home.  Commitment would begin with approximately 5 hours per week, day, nights or weekends.  Email Bob Stanbery or call him at 972-723-0002 x 12.

 

Special Events Servant (Administration) - We are looking for people available for being a utility servants at Special Events such as funerals, weddings, special family gatherings, etc.  The responsibility would include things like directing traffic, set up/take down chairs, move/arrange tables, welcoming people, running errands, etc.  Commitment would generally be 2 hours at a given event.  Email Bob Stanbery or call him at 972-723-0002 x 12.

 

Pastoral Care Servant (Adult Ministries) - Visit those in the hospital, prepare/take meals to the needy, take care of orphans and widows, write encouragement cards to the hurting.  All of us should be involved in these ministries, but some of the gift of mercy and sensitive, discerning heart to put other's above themselves.  Commitment is generally a few hours, several times a month.  Email Layne Mershimer or call him at 972-723-0002 x 11.
