"Sundayz Cool" Sunday mornings @ 10:00 in Senior High Room
Believing that it's a sin to bore students with God's Word, we use numerous creative and fun ways to apply biblical principles to the challenges of teenage life. The Sr. Hi Worship Band leads us in awesome worship, followed by real life lessons that help students grow in relationships with one another and especially with their Heavenly Father who loves them with an outrageous love.
"Kairos" Wednesday nights 6:00 - 6:30 in Senior High Room
“Kairos” is a fancy Greek word that means “time.” But, not just “clock time.” “Kairos” is “Quality Time” as in: “Time to hang out.” “Time to connect.” “Time to play foosball, 4-square, ping-pong, nintendo, time to put your homework off ‘til later, time to eat pizza and listen to jammin’ music!” That’s “Quality Time!” Come early to Wenzdee Nite Live and spend some “Kairos!”
"WNL" Wednesday nights 6:30 - 8:30 in Senior High Room
"Wenzdee Nite Live" is the highlight of the week for most MBC Sr. Hi students. Awesome music from the Sr. Hi Worship Band, hilarious skits, cool video clips, and practical lessons from God's Word are some of the features students look forward to the most. Our students are known for reaching out to one another and to new students in love and support, as we seek to encourage one another to "own our own faith and share it with others."
"Kardia" Groups
Kardia groups (another cool Greek word that means “heart”) are our times for small groups of guys and girls to really connect at the heart level. There’s nothing better than meeting with friends before or after school for encouragement, support, and seeing how God’s word relates to your crazy life. Girls meet at Becky Wallace’s house (205 S. 2nd St.) on Tuesday mornings for breakfast (7:15-8:20 am) or Tuesday afternoons (5:15-6:30 pm) for supper. Guys meet at the Youth Center with Tim on Tuesday afternoons (4:00-5:30) for guy food (yeah!). We have a great time eating and sharing great things together to help us connect better with God and with each other.
"Home" Groups
Two Sunday nights a month, we meet in the homes of some of the coolest adults on the planet! Crazy games, great food, and a great discussion led by fellow students are some of the most awesome times of the month for all of our students. Check out the calendar for our next “Home Groups.” Call the youth office (972.723.0002 x 20) for directions to the “Home Group” nearest to you.
