Intimate Follower of Jesus

As a church family, our greatest desire for you is to grow deeply in your intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus. He said that He came to give you life and life abundantly and we know that the only way to really experience that abundant life is to walk closely with Him every moment of every day. He desires you to be empowered by the Holy Spirit and grow in the grace of God that trains us to renounce ungodliness and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age - we are saved by grace and not works and we are to grow to maturity in grace.

Like any relationship, our relationship with Jesus grows by spending time with Him in His Word, in prayer, in obedience and in love. We encourage you to regularly study God's Word - our weekly Life in Focus Bible Studies help us study throughout the week in preparation to Worship Him together as a family on Sunday. If you are new to studying God's Word, there are other on-line Daily Devotionals and basic Discipleship Bible studies that can help you grow. Another great practice is to read through the Bible in a Year - the following will serve as daily assistance whenever you decide to start: Bible Reading Plan.

Pray to the Lord throughout the day, praising Him and speaking to Him about your needs and remembering to Pray for the needs of others.

Spending time with Other believers and Serving the Lord with your giftedness are other essential ways to help us become more intimate with Him and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
